Upcoming Events
  • The Stuttgart Lions Club will be having its Spring fundraiser on April 24th.  This year we will be selling steak and shrimp at the War Memorial Training Center.
  • Very big news.  The Stuttgart Lions Club will be hosting the first annual youth baseball and softball tournament on Saturday, April 5th.  Stuttgart does not have an annual youth tournament for baseball and softball, so the club is really exciting to host one.  Lennox Industries is the corporate sponsor for the event this year.
  • Don't forget that March is Liberty Day.  On this day, club members present information to local fifth and sixth graders about the American Constitution.
News and Recent Events
  • The fall hamburger supper was a big success this year, raising $1500 for our local charities.  There was a good time for all, and everyone enjoyed the band.  A special thanks to Flipside 517 for providing the great music.

  • The Stuttgart Lions Club welcomed new member Bill Shrum.  Bill works for the Stuttgart Daily Leader newspaper.

  • Recently, Mike Shook from Patriot Fuels spoke to the Lions Club about the new biodiesel plant opened in March in Stuttgart.  The plant will have the capacity to produce 3 million gallons of biodiesel a year, and they will be one of only two biodiesel production plants in Arkansas.
  • Stuttgart Lions Club sponsored several kids for the 2005-2006 Lions International Peace Poster contest.  Kyler Watson was chosen as one of 24 award winners in the international competition.  This was quite an achievement because there were a total of 350,000 entries from around the world.  Lions International chose 111 finalists, and from those, 24 were selected to receive an award.  We are all very proud of Kyler's art work.
