Stuttgart's Cutest Baby Contest!!!

This year the Stuttgart Lion's club will be hosting a "Stuttgart's Cutest Baby" contest!  The contest will end August 31st, 2009. 

The PRIZES!
      First Prize:  $100 - your baby will be named "Stuttgart's Cutest Baby 2009" and your baby will have his/her picture in the newspaper and displayed on this website for the coming year.
      Second Prize: $50 - Your baby will be the "1st runner up Stuttgart's Cutest Baby 2009" and have his/her picture in the newspaper and displayed on this website for the coming year.
      Third Prize: $25 - Your baby will be the "2nd runner up Stuttgart's Cutest Baby 2009" and too will have his/her picture in the paper and displayed on this website for the coming year.

The Rules:
     1. Your baby must be between 0-48months old when the picture was taken. (honor system please be respectful of this entry rule).
    2. Each photo must ONLY have your child (if there are other people in the photo PLEASE crop those people out).

So take those pictures and enjoy!

Entry Process and fees:  Each photo must include a $15 entry fee to be paid to the Stuttgart Lion's Club.  All proceeds will be used to fund Lion's club charitable donations. 

To submit your baby to Stuttgart's Cutest Baby Contest:
1. Send an email to stuttgartcontests@gmail.com with the following information
     Parent's First name, last name, mailing address, contact phone number. 
     baby's photo, first name, age at time of picture,  birthday. 
     Mail entry fee to: P.O. Box 35, Stuttgart, AR  72160
     Make all checks payable to Stuttgart Lion's Club
2. Mail entry with entry fee:  P.O. Box 35, Stuttgart, AR  72160
    Include a form with:
     Parent's First name, last name, mailing address, contact phone number. 
     baby's photo, first name, age at time of picture,  birthday.

ALL ENTRIES WITHOUT ENTRY FEE WILL BE REJECTED.  Please do not send pictures that you need back MAKE A COPY we will not be able to return hard copy photos.

Upcoming Events
  • Very big news. This year the Stuttgart Lions club will be hosting a "Stuttgart's Cutest Baby" contest.  The contest will be held in August, keep checking back for details.  For questions please email stuttgartcontests@gmail.com.
  • We're very excited for this year's 4th of July fireworks display.  This display will be held at the Stuttgart High school and will include the usual fun and entertainment; a dunking booth, games, prizes, food for sale and a whole lot of fun!
News and Recent Events
  • This year's Lion of the Year Award went to our new club president Chris Armstrong!  If you see him around town congratulate him on his excellent efforts and inspiration to the club.
  • The hamburger supper was quite a success this year.  Chris Armstrong did a wonderful job heading the event and all those that volunteered made this event successful!
  • The Stuttgart Lions Club put on a great Fourth of July show last year at the high school football stadium.  The weather couldn't have been better, and the Fireworks show was terrific.  All of the money raised goes directly to next year's show.  This year's show is coming up!
  • The 2nd annual Stuttgart Lions Club golf tournament will be held in conjunction with Easter Seals in September.   Everyone is looking forward to a terrific time raising money for our charities.
  • The Stuttgart Lions Club presented Liberty Day to local fifth and sixth graders this Spring.  Liberty Day is used to raise awareness among students across the nation about the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America.
  • The Stuttgart Lions Club put on a great Fourth of July show this year at the high school football stadium. 
  • The Stuttgart Lions Club presented Liberty Day to local sixth graders on March 13.  Liberty Day is used to raise awareness among students across the nation about the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America.
  • Recently, Mike Shook from Patriot Fuels spoke to the Lions Club about the new biodiesel technologies used in producing biofuels.
  • The Stuttgart Lions Club celebrated its 80th anniversary in March, 2008.

The Stuttgart Lions Club is pleased to sponsor the Leo Club at the Stuttgart High School.

Events and Activities
Every year, the Stuttgart Lions Club sponsors several activities, including:
  • Liberty Day in March,
  • The Annual spring hamburger supper took place in April,
  • A golf tournament in September,
  • The Stuttgart Fourth of July fireworks extravaganza
  • The fall fundraiser in November.
  • This year we will have our 1st Annual "Stuttgart's Cutest Baby" contest in August!
Where our fundraising goes
  The Stuttgart Lions Club regularly distributes money raised through fund raising programs to their 3 major charities:
  • The Mid-South Lions Sight and Hearing Service located in Memphis, Tennessee
  • Lions World Services for the Blind
  • Arkansas Lions Eye Bank & Laboratory both located in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Some of Our Previous Activities
 
  • Partnered with the Lions Clubs International Foundation to purchase an ambulance for the Stuttgart Regional Medical Center.
  • Donated money to Hurricane Katrina evacuees who were living in Stuttgart.
  • Collect and recycle used eyeglasses for distribution in developing countries.
  • Sponsors annual vision screening for kindergarten and 1st grade school children.
  • Donated a vision screener to the local public schools.
  • Provide eye exams and prescription glasses for the needy.
  • Annually give several college scholarships to high school students.
  • Annually sponsor an individual to Boys and Girls State (week-long seminars teaching how government works).
