- The fall hamburger supper was a big success this
year, raising $1500 for our local charities. There was a good time
for all, and everyone enjoyed the band. A special thanks to
Flipside 517 for providing the great music.
- The Stuttgart Lions Club put on a great Fourth of
July show this year at the high school football stadium. The
weather couldn't have been better, and the Fireworks show was terrific. All of the money raised goes directly to next
year's show.
- The annual Stuttgart Lions Club golf tournament was
held on a beautiful day on June 9th. The weather couldn't be much
better. Everyone had a terrific time, and the club raised around
$4500 for our charities.
- The annual shrimp sale was held on April 20th.
The shrimp was delicious and very popular with the local residents of
Stuttgart.
- The Stuttgart Lions Club presented Liberty
Day to local fifth and sixth graders this Spring. Liberty Day is used to raise
awareness among students across the nation about the Declaration of
Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America.
- On November 16, the club held its annual fall
fundraiser by selling steak and potatoes, and shrimp. The food was
very popular with the members of the community, and everyone had a great
time.
- The Stuttgart Lions Club put on a great Fourth of

some rain that moved through, the show went on as planned, and everyone
had a great time. All of the money raised goes directly to next

- The annual Stuttgart Lions Club golf tournament was

better. Everyone had a terrific time, and the club raised around
$2000 for our charities.
- On May 10th, 2006, the Stuttgart Lions Club presented
a new vision screening machine to the Stuttgart School district.
Their last vision screener had been damaged, and the machine was
obsolete, so repairing it would have been too expensive for the school
district.

- The annual shrimp sale was held on April 20th.
The shrimp was delicious and very popular with the local residents of
Stuttgart. The club raised over $1500 for charity.
- The Stuttgart Lions Club presented Liberty
Day to local sixth graders on March 16, 2006 on the anniversary of
President James Madison's birthday. Liberty Day is used to raise
awareness among students across the nation about the Declaration of
Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America.

- The Stuttgart Lions Club welcomed new member Bill
Shrum. Bill works for the Stuttgart Daily Leader newspaper.

- Recently, Mike Shook from Patriot Fuels spoke to the
Lions Club about the new biodiesel
plant opened in March in Stuttgart. The plant will have the
capacity to produce 3 million gallons of biodiesel a year, and they
will be one of only two biodiesel production plants in
Arkansas.
- Stuttgart Lions Club sponsored several kids for the 2005-2006 Lions
International Peace Poster contest. Kyler Watson was chosen as one
of 24 award winners in the international competition. This was
quite an achievement because there were a total of 350,000 entries from
around the world. Lions International chose 111 finalists, and
from those, 24 were selected to receive an award. We are all very
proud of Kyler's art work.
